With heart and soul for Berlin patients: Radio Paradiso 98.2 makes August the month of blood donation with heart(s)
Summer, sun, holiday time – for some a carefree time, for others, e.g. seriously ill patients who are treated with blood products in the region’s clinics, a difficult situation. Even during the holidays, the supply of life-saving blood products to patients in Berlin and Brandenburg must be ensured, which is why Paradiso 98.2 and the DRK Blood Donor Service North-East in Berlin and Brandenburg are launching a joint campaign that will run throughout August. Under the motto ‘Paradiso Herzchen Songs – leben und hören mit Herz!’ (Paradiso Heart Songs – live and listen with heart!), the focus on Radio Paradiso 98.2 in August will be on life-saving blood donations.

Every month, Radio Paradiso supports a project, an organisation, an institution or an idea that is socially committed to people, animals or the environment. As part of the listener campaign, listeners send hearts to the Paradiso team when certain songs are played. The more hearts we receive in a given month, the greater the Paradiso team’s commitment to the project in question. The hearts are then redeemed as blood donations by the Paradiso team at the DRK blood donation centre in the ALEXA shopping centre at the end of the month.

Whenever a ‘little heart song’ is played on Radio Paradiso, the Paradiso team is happy when listeners send a little heart emoji to the studio.

Radio Paradiso listeners and all interested people in Berlin can take part, donate blood and save lives together. The team from the DRK blood donation centre in the ALEXA shopping centre at Alexanderplatz is on site five days a week and is looking forward to many blood donors doing something good with their blood donation despite the holiday season.
